WMD is looking for a home page! I already have Web hosting, but I, e-Hernick, the author of WMD, don't have a domain name. I was thinking about ForTheWiiN.org(not active) (pronounce: for-the-wii'hen-dottorg) as being the perfect domain. I strongly encourage you to donate this domain to WMD, FTW. Buy the domain now as your donation to WMD!

  • That sounds like a good idea...I'm getting a bit tired of always copying and pasting :P Another suggestion: Put the config file into a separate .py file, which is included by the main one. That way, I don't have to manually copy over my settings again every time I upgrade. Keep up the good work! ~ Davr 13:15, 12 December 2006 (EST)
  • Actually if you have the server, then a domain name is as cheap as $20 per year. I currently have my domain name from Tiger Technologies, and they are great with any support you need. OC 17:10, 12 December 2006 (EST)
  • Hi, I have used WMD to create some small games. They are here (only the tennis game is finnished) www.student.dtu.dk/~s011272/wiimote - they will of cause be extended, but any help would be appreciated.

[edit] You can upload non-image files

If the wiki allows it, you can upload the PY file for WMD. Then you wouldn't need extra hosting but could use this site to upload new versions of the file. To access an uploaded text file, you can use the [[Media:WMD.py]] snytax. Just ask someone to add the PY or TXT extensions to the allowed uploads. OC 08:18, 13 December 2006 (EST)

  • I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but the domain forthewiin.org is taken, along with .com and won't expire for a while. Getting hosting on SourceForce or the above suggestion seem like the best options. Thanks for WMD!

[edit] Problems AFTER connecting

Hello, I'm sorry if this is not the place to post it, but I can't find anywhere else to ask for help on this issue.

I CAN successfully connect to my Wiimote for a couple of seconds, even the GUI shows but then an error arises:

File "/home/acapulco/wmd/wmd-0.1.2/wmd/Wiimote/Input.py", line 155, in slice_STAT

   self.process_stats( s )

TypeError: process_stats() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given)

The error is bigger, but I don't want to flood this. I checked the code and the function doesn't seem to do anything (just a "pass" statement)

Any help would be greately appreaciated.
