[edit] Photo Dump via Gmail? or MITM?

Could we find exploitable bugs on Photos?

  • I used Gimp(2.2) to create a 640 x 480 white background. I made sure the I kept the original photo (white.jpg) on my desktop. I saved the photo onto my SD card and inserted it into my Wii. I launched the Photo Channel and selected "Digital Camera/ Cell Phone." I edit my photo using "Zap!" which changed the white background to a black background. The "Zap!" filter is found when "Mood" is selected from "Fun!" feature.
  • Once the photo was edited, the only way to keep the new photo is to transfer the photo via Wii Message Board. I tried sending the black background photo to my gmail account, but the Wii could only send photos to Wii consoles.
  • My approach was to compare the original file to the modified file that the Wii created. I was hopeing to receive the photo via e-mail, but the Wii stop me for the time being.

Now my questions are as followed:

  • 1. Is it possible to capture the packet via MITM? How?
  • 2. Could we setup up some kind of server to re-route a Wii ID to Gmail?
  • 3. What are the possibilities that we will find some kind of buffer overflow using the "Mood" and "Doodle" features?
    • Mood Features - Brighten, Black and White, Zap!, and Hard-boiled
    • Doodle Features - Sketch Pens, Stamp Selections, and editing tools

I currently working with MITM approach, but I'm not sure if I set it up correctly.

I think we could find some interesting suff. skibur
