[edit] Autopairing
Is it possible to make Widcomm autopair with a wiimote? Or make it create a shortcut like it does for every other device, you just go to My Bluetooth Places, turn on the wiimote and double click the shortcut. Any ideas?
Also, for those having trouble, as I posted elsewhere, a new wiimote must be paired to a wii at least once before it will connect to a pc. This should be added to the wiimote pairing section by those that know how.
[edit] New Hardware Wizard
Before reading this guide, I didn't install the software for my wiimote! And now I don't know how to get the New Software Wizard to come up! Help!
[edit] Not Pairing
I tried to connect my wiimote using a MSI starkey dongle, and when I get to the part where I have to click "Skip Pairing", the button does nothing and it stays on the pairing page. Why is this happening?
- Happening to me too using WIDCOMM 5.1.0.3300. Trying with different versions now, as Bluesoleil doesn't work at all. Edit: This is a no-go with 5.1.0.4200 too :( --Growlizing 16:14, 28 December 2007 (EST)
I installed Widcomm yesterday, and got it to work. Worked fine, WiiMote and all. A day later, when I try to pair my WiiMote, it only stays paired for as long as its in discovery mode, then both devices shut off. In the time that it is "paired" (the connection arrows icon appears) my WiiMote won't respond to GlovePie. What's wrong?
[edit] Thumbs?
Yes, I know this looks horrible. We need thumbnail support badly.
- Do you have a link ? Wiili
- I don't know how this works, but I found this and the GD library which is linked to from the first. -Deceased
- You might need to also install ImageMagick for scaling of images. OC 10:13, 15 January 2007 (EST)
[edit] Windows Vista
Uhh can someone help me please? I followed the instructions up until the driver part. I'm using Windows Vista Beta build 5600, and Windows will not find an HID driver, anyone else with Vista make this work/have a solution? Thanks in advance.
- Is the Windows Vista 32 or 64-bit?
[edit] Kensington Blinking lights
I have the Kensington USB 2.0 Dongle, and I followed all the instructions. But when everything is complete, and I can see that the Wiimote is connected, it won't fall out of Discovery Mode (the 4 lights blink forever). And then no programs will connect to it (for example, WiinRemote gives "Error 5: Access Denied").
Any help? Is there any way to force the Wiimote *out* of Discovery Mode? Jozxyqk 17:35, 14 January 2007 (EST) Hmm.. seems to be that "downgrading" my stack from 5.0.* to 4.0.* allows it to work properly. I guess WIDCOMM 5.0 stack is not compatible with wiimote. (Jozxyqk again)
- Did you download the drivers listed on this site? I had the exact same dongle and it worked fine for me. --Deceased 11:50, 15 January 2007 (EST)
- I'm having the same problem. Using the WIDCOMM 6.0 stack with a Broadcom USB dongle I bought off eBay. Anyone know where I can download a previous version perhaps?--Ssj4android 16:50, 8 January 2008 (EST)
