[edit] General
This tutorial will show you how to connect your Wiimote to your PC using the Windows and "My Bluetooth Places." It is important to note that you should hold down the 1 and 2 buttons on your Wiimote throughout the entire process. (Images will be shown on the page once thumbnail support is enabled.)
[edit] Tutorial
[edit] Getting Started
Open "My Bluetooth Places" by double clicking the icon on your desktop. The window will open and you should click "Search for devices in range" on the left hand side of the window. Image.
You should see a device named Nintendo RVL-CNT-01. Click the icon for the device once, and then click "Bluetooth Setup Wizard" located on the left hand side of the window, as well.
[edit] The Wizard
You will see a window appear resembling the image to the right. Just hit the "Skip Pairing" button and continue to the the next step. If you get an error saying that Windows was unable to contact the device, make sure you are pressing 1 and 2 constantly and the LEDs are blinking (this means the Wiimote is in discovery mode).
Now, Windows will find the correct drivers for the device. Once it has finished installing the proper drivers, your window should be similar to the image on the left. Click "Finish." Your device should now be connected. Image.
[edit] What Now?
You can now use your Wiimote to communicate with your Windows PC. GlovePIE and WiinRemote are two Windows programs that will allow you to see what effect the Wiimote has on your computer. You can also write your own scripts in GlovePIE to control mouse movement, keystrokes and much more.
