Disc Channel

The disc channel allows the user to load Wii and Gamecube games from the DVD drive. It will show an animated titlescreen for the loaded game, if any is loaded. Gamecube titles use the default Gamecube Start-Up chime and logo. It does not currently load meta info from Gamecube discs.

• It is the only channel that can not be moved on the channel list, presumably because of the disc icon beside the channel icon when a disc is loaded.
• One of the 6 Channels packaged with the system.
• It is rumoured Nintendo will release a Firmware Update to enable DVD Playback.
