Copied from my post on the Processing forum... just in case it's useful to anyone here
A couple of [hopefully] useful tips for others trying this out:
1. When I first connect the Wiimote up to Bluetooth it remains in discovery mode. When I then try and connect to the Processing application with 1 & 2 nothing happens. I've found that first pressing the Wiimote power button to 'switch it off' and then hitting 1 & 2 to enter discovery mode gets around this problem. Subsequent attempts to connect should work fine with just 1 & 2 as long as you do the following:
2. Make sure you 'switch off' your Wiimote before closing your Processing application so that you see the "Remote disconnected" message in the output window. In my case if I fail to do this it buggers something up with the Bluetooth stack which seems to require a system restart to fix
By following these two steps I'm finding this fairly reliable and can now definitely get on with some experimenting
[note: My setup (in case it's relevant):
PC (Windows XP)
Processing 0125
JVM 6.0.20.6
JSR82 implementation = BlueCove
Belkin Bluetooth dongle (didn't seem to work with laptop's internal Toshiba Bluetooth)] _________________ Where is the what if the what is in why? |

I'm posting this separately to the above for clarity...
I couldn't find an 'onRelease' event for buttons in the WiiRimokon class. This would be really useful as sometimes you want something to keep happening whilst a button is held down.
I see such an event does exist in WiiRemoteJ but unfortunately my Java skills aren't yet adequate to go in and implement this myself
-----------------
On a separate note some of the english on the method names etc. is a little strange. This isn't meant as a criticism - it obviously isn't surprising as English isn't your first language!
For the most part I don't think it's a problem, but people might get errors with 'senced' as this is not spelt correctly. It should be spelt 'sensed'. If you want help with the English I'd be happy to help. As I'm likely to be using wrj4P5 for a project I'm working on I'd be very happy to contribute in some way!
Hope your hospital visit goes well...

sorry i have no idea.
then, how
1. wrj4P5-001 + feisty (it may be well) ?
2. wrj4P5-002 + feisty ?
3. wrj4P5-001 + gutsy ?
this is the way to find the forcus point.
*wrj4P5-002 is modified only around the buttonEvents and startup mode setting after connected. _________________ Classiclll |
