ANY nintendo emulator would hinder their Virtual Console efforts.....plus make them lose a LOT of money.
This saddens me...because if they disagree with these Emulators being able to run on their system, then they would be against this whole notion. |

| As long as we don't provide ROMs we're safe. |

| I don't see how it could possibly be a problem of any sort. People only use emulators to play games that they legally have the right to use them for, don't they? |

There are many classic games that people are going to want. For games with enough demand I'm sure Nintendo will make them available but for those with little demand people will want to seek an alternative method. As it is, you can do this with an Xbox. The idea though to simplify and not have a half a dozen consoles if you can have one do it all. _________________ http://www.eviltechmonkey.com |

this is very very true.
and to squakypants...:
Nintendo can do whatever it wants with it's console. It isn't democratic, nor is it open source. So this project is not safe. |

| But they couldn't sue us or anything, is my point. They could kill the project even if WiiLi didn't (plan to) have emulation support. |

but microsoft is not exactly looking after previously released content, and if they were, then they would try to stop the effort.
nintendo has already created the virtual console. a feature that will very likely make them a lot of money. and if anything will slow that down, including emulators that have the ability to play any game that they are offering for free instead of someone actually buying it in their virtual console store thing, then they will try to stop it. |
