I know on the Windows media player scripts and such Windows media player had to be the front window so that the shortcuts that apply to the program will be used. My laptop has media buttons on the front. I was wondering how i would know the raw names of those keys so as to add them to the wmp script.

GlovePIE supports some multimedia keys. There's a section about them in Help -> Preliminary Documentation.
