The fact that the Wii Remote is Bluetooth is irrelevant. The controller is still communicating through the extension port, so it has no direct connection to the Wii Remote wirelessly. The Wii Remote's software doesn't really support this sort wireless extension in any case.
There is actually an answer, though: http://gear.ign.com/articles/840/840028p1.html
| Quote: | | Nyko's Wireless Nunchuck will employ 2.4-GHz wireless to communicate with a receiver module that jacks into the Wiimote's usual Nunchuck port. |
Basically, it's kind of like low-powered WiFi which is like Bluetooth. The difference between what they're probably doing and Bluetooth is that Bluetooth is a whole communication standard and is probably too bulky for their needs. They're probably using a proprietary communication standard on similar radio frequencies to Bluetooth. _________________ Cha0s |

So theres going to be a small piece that connects to the bottom of the Wiimote that wirelessly connects to the nunchuck? _________________

Yep, that way they send commands to the receiver, which in turn will send them to the wiimote. That way, the wiimote will "think" there's a regular nunchuk plugged in and respond accordingly. _________________ Not all mexicans enjoy tamales and piƱatas, and tacos aren't really made that way!

Cool. This is actually a very good way to do it. _________________

| I own both the Nyko Cord-Free (adapter, turns wired nunchuk wireless) and the Nyko Kama (wireless nunchuk). Neither is recognized by glovepie. The Kama's reciever doesn't even turn on. Not sure if it's a glovepie thing or something the wiimote does while connected via bluetooth instead of the console. It could even very well be that the Nyko sends slightly different signals that the Wii interprets fine but Glovepie doesn't. Or possibly it's my crappy bluetooth adapter. |

I own the i-Con Wireless Playchuck Pro which is basically the same as the Nyko, and it doesn't work either with Glovepie :'(
I'm thinking about bringing it back but then i'd be pissed if in the next version, Glovepie will support it ^^
Any new news about the support?
I don't understand why Gloviepie doesn't support it :s |

Wow I almost droped the 40$ for one the other night the Nyko karma one.
I figured it would work just like a regular nunchuck. Oh well the cord is not too big a bother. |
