like I said above, I have only been able to test it with the BlueSoleil driver/stack... so if you have something different, I cannot guarantee that it will work.
also the library I am using to access the Wii remote is very early, and was also only tested with BlueSoleil.
on a side note, I have updated the binary, you can now quit the application by pressing ESCAPE on the keyboard in the event there is no response from your wii remote. _________________ Go Go Gadget Wii!

Ok I tested it with both a wiimote and a nunchuk and it works very well!!
Like I already said the only problem I had was from the camera as it is really to close from the sticks and always look at it, but I imagine that there will be differents view types in the next release.
Great work Walaber! |

Hi !
I have a problem with your Program or more with my PC ^^ :
When I double-click on the WiiStix.exe, I get the Following Error Message :
**OK I can't post links yet, so here's the Exact text :
| Code: |
Window Title : An exception has occured!
Text : An exception has been thrown!
-----------------------------
Details:
-----------------------------
Error #: 4
Function: D3D9RenderSystem: initialise
Description: Problems finding requested Direct3D driver!
File: ..\src\OgreD3D9RenderSystem.cpp
Line: 504
Stack unwinding: <<beginning of stack>>
|
I don't know why this Error occurs. I have installed the latest DirectX 9.0c Release (Dec 2006). The Wiimotes are Connected and working (tested with GlovePIE).
My Graphics Adapter is a "NVidia GeForce Go 7900 GS" if this is necessary. I hope you can help me Thanks
EDIT: I've found in the Ogre Forums, that this Error could appear when the software is compiled with another version of DX 9.0c than the user has. There was also said, that there's a config dialog or something in this way. I would post the link here if I could Okay, try to search in Google for this here :
| Quote: | | Ogre "Problems finding requested Direct3D driver! " |
And then the first result. I hope you could watch the link and maybe you know where the Error is..
EDIT2: I've seen that there was a log file created in my directory. Here's an extract of the D3D9 Initialising thing..
| Code: | Not Necessary anymore ;-)
|
EDIT3 (the last one):
OK, I've finally solved the problem myself I've downloaded from the Ogre Homepage some techdemo's and there is a configurator for the graphics device. Now, there has been my graphics card shown correctly (as Go 7900 GS and not 7900 GT as the WiiSticks did). So I've looked at the log file from the Techdemo, searched for the exact name of the Graphics Adapter, then opened the ogre.cfg which can be found in the "Release" Folder of your program, and edited it with my settings. And it works So if anyone has the same problem, try this |

hey thanks Kaktus621, I had the exact same problem. Thanks for the solution . Glad someone had already posted the solution to the error i got
EASIER SOLUTION: DELETE ogre.cfg from the release folder. <-This also resets the graphics settings if you want to change them.
*goes to play
edit: okay.. it runs.. but not very well. Not playable. it's like, it runs fine for about 10 frames, nice and smooth, freezes for the time it'd take to render 10 frames, then runs fine for 10 frames... repeat. I've tried every setting on the OGRE thingy, none of them makes a difference at all. Argh and i really wanted to play this
I'm using a radeon 9800 PRO... I think the drivers are quite old but i can't be bothered to change them & that's probably not the problem. I tried the Stonehenge OGRE demo, that ran fine.
I've tried closing all background programs etc. Putting the priority of the bluetooth drivers/game to high etc.
I'm using a Belkin bluetooth adapter with the Belkin drivers (similar to WIDCOMM)

also please re-download the binary, I made a few improvements that should help a little with compatibility. _________________ Go Go Gadget Wii!

@Kaktus621 I had the same Problem, than I deleted following line out of the "ogre.cfg"
| Code: | | Rendering Device=NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT |
Now it works! |
