|
|
Hi there,
I've been working on a project for my Java class for the past few weeks.
It is a simple full screen demo of a few of the WiiRemote possibilities.
The demo includes:
1. A fully functional retro style audio player controllable by one or two wiimote(s).
First wiimote controls the player’s play/stop/pause/previous/next
Second wiimote's pitch controls audio volume and its roll controls audio balance
2. A 2 player slime volley 'winter chill edition' game.
Control the slimes by holding the wiimote with its buttons facing up,
and the B button in the left hand. Now tilt the left or right side up to move.
Swing the controller up to jump.
3. A drum test. You can use up to 4 wiimotes. First wiimote is a bass drum.
Attach first wiimote to your foot for best performance.
The other 2 are snare drum or hihat/cymbal depending on whether you press additional buttons or not.
The fourth is another bass drum for double bass.
How to use:
Just download the jar file at
http://www.starbrookairlines.be/wiiremotedemo/wiiremotedemo.jar
Launch the program by double clicking it.
Press wiimote 1 and 2 buttons together to activate wiimote’s Bluetooth discovery
In the menu screen you should be able to navigate using the wiiremote.
If you see a red wiimote controller in the lower right corner,
there is a problem with your Bluetooth.
Please check http://www.wiili.org/forum/wiiremotej-tips-t2815.html
For more information on how to set up your Bluetooth for the WiiRemoteJ library.
(PS: no installation of the WiiRemoteJ library or BlueCove is necessary,
they are both already included in the jar)
Have fun!

Source is not (yet) included, but I will release it at the end of June, when I handed in the final version of the assignment.
Glad you liked it so far! |

Hi!
I was using GlovePie to connect my wiimote on the pc, but now I'm trying to begin with java, so I've downloaded your demo, it runs well, but it doesn't connect to my wiimote, I've checked my bluetooth and the tip in http://www.wiili.org/forum/wiiremotej-tips-t2815.html but I can't resolve my question (any red wiimote controller in the lower right corner appears).
In spite I've programmed in C for three years, I'm a rookie in java, so I'm sorry if that question is very obvious.
My OS is Windows XP SE, I'm using java2 and when I test the GlovePie I use BlueSoleil.
Bye!! |

Instead of using BlueSoleil, I installed the Widcomm driver.
A functionality that is needed to connect to the WiiRemote's is missing in
BlueSoleil. Maybe there is a workaround available, but on all my machines I just use the Widcomm driver without any problems.
Hope you get it working... |

Thanks for your reply Icon-C.
I've downloaded and installed different versions of widcomm and any of them worked with my bluetooth device, the only different is that this time a red wiimote controller appeared in the lower right corner (I know that it is because a bluetooth problem, but I don't know how to resolve it).
Is there any bluetooth driver similar than widcomm? |
