| Quote: | | When I start tic-WiiPC.exe, I get the following error message |
That is because you haven't got a a default program to open up .pie files. Right click the tic-WiiPC.pie and go properties and make sure it defaults to open with GlovePie.exe and then run tic-WiiPC.exe again. It should now run properly.
I will address this problem in the next release, so that you don't need to do this. |

Haha, I just read that "unimportant text" a little more carefully and it said just that (before I read your post) =)
So the app starts now, but things still doesn't work:
- tic-wiiPC starts, but sometimes GloePIE (and BlueSoleil with it) won't, I then have to start GlovePIE manually which will also start BlueSoleil.
- If GlovePIE is running while I for the first time press 1+2 on the Wiimote and a device appears in BlueSoleil, GlovePIE freezes.
- If I first get the device to appear in BlueSoleil, I can open GlovePIE and it will connect the Wiimote. No Wiimote app will recognise it though.
If tic-wiiPC is running or not doesn't matter at all in any of the events above.
Only when I make the first full connection manually I can start GlovePIE which will then handle the automatic connection after I disconnect.
Made a bat-file which runs the Toshiba connect every 10 seconds, and downloaded a program that presses the OK button.
It actually works as long as I don't use fullscreen since the popups will interrupt it.
Never had any other problems with Toshiba, BlueSoleil feels very unstable and it often freezes for a few seconds. |

I think youre a little confused about whats happening when you run tic-WiiPC.
You should read the helpfile.
| Quote: | | The application starts and gets a tray icon, but it closes BlueSoleil and GlovePIE if they were running |
It is supposed to close them, and then restarts them, but restarts glovepie with the script started and hidden. After you run tic-WiiPC then press ctrl+alt+backspace and this will toggle whether the glovepie window is shown or hidden.

And every time BlueSoleil closes (also when Windows restarts), the Wiimote disappears from the list and has to be manually reconnected. |
Do not do this. youre overcomplicating things. just run tic-WiiPC and press 1+2 on the wiimote. it will then connect. do not open the bluesoleil window.

the tic-WiiPC.exe is used for running the tic-WiiPC.pie with the script started and handles all of the contols in the script, such as maximizing/ restoring windows etc
Dont overcomplicate things Dont open the bluesoleil window, just run tic-WiiPC.exe and press 1+2. Thank you for your input and ill release a new version shortly where you dont need to have glovepie set as the default app for pie files
Edit: And try out 3.04, it fixes another problem, so even if another program is set to open .pie files, then the included GlovePie will still be used |

Forget about my first post, didn't know much back then =)
Today the GlovePIE script started automatically for the first time, but it stopped doing that after a computer restart.
GlovePIE doesn't freeze where it did yesterday, but it still doesn't run every time I start wiiPC.
There are three stages in the Wiimote connection.
- 1+2, let the computer see the Wiimote.
- "Refresh Services", identify the Wiimote.
- Connect it.
GlovePIE does the third one without problems.
The second stage worked yesterday (not today) though no app could recognize the Wiimote. This stage has to be done manually (which only works when GlovePIE is not running).
v3.04 not up yet? =) |

Please make sure you use version 3.04 and then tell me if you still get this error. I didn't know about this error, but hopefully I fixed it when I made the pie script launch with a specific exe.
I'm not sure whether you're using Bluesoleil, but tic-WiiPC was only designed to work with it and will not function properly with any other program |

Thought 3.04 wasn't up yet, but now I typed the address manually and I got it.
GlovePIE started every time now (at least 7 out of 7 tries).
It froze once when I pressed 1+2.
When it doesn't freeze, it won't do stage 2 (identify the Wiimote) (makes this whole thing useless).
It ran the script automatically only once.
Yes, I'm using BlueSoleil. At least when trying wiiPC. |

I'm very confused why this isn't working on your PC and would like to help. Please could you post the specs of the PC youre running this on (specifically processor and whether your bluetooth is USB 1.1 or 2)
So youre saying that most times you just double click the tic-WiiPC.exe (try making sure that bluesoleil isnt running at the time) and then glovepie starts up but it generally doesnt run and hide it automatically (remember it runs hidden, so you will only be able to see it on task manager or if you press ctrl+alt+backspace)
On my own computer and others I've used it on. I do not not have Blusoleil running (although it shouldnt make a difference) and just run tic-WiiPC.exe.
Immediately after, a grey icon of Bluesoleil will appear in your system tray, then Glovepie will open and immediately disappear, (now Bluesoleil is blue) and then press 1+2 and, it connects and Bluesoleil is now green and everything works now
I really hope I can help you to get it working, as it works very nicely when it does.
