Bugs to be fixed:
If connected, then wiimote is manually turned off, then once connected again, lights will continually flash until mode is changed.
Dragging is currently not possible.
Layered windows cannot be seen by Quick Zoom (unlikely to be fixed)
Sometimes Wiimote will never connect if left for too long without reconnecting (over 20 hours or so)
Updates to come:
Infra Red support, with option to turn off or on or switch between IR and acceleration depending on whether IR is detected.
New GUI with custom skin and new features.
More tweaking features, such as customizeable browser, audio player, etc
Onscreen keyboard similar to Wii's
Automatic switching of modes depending on which application is in focus and is under the cursor.
Changelog:
(3.31) Added mode gui. Will now notify you when your wiimote is
connected and briefly which mode you are in (runs as separate
hidden process. Also prevents some windows from being minimized
such as winamp and miranda. request any others you want added!
(3.22) Fixed bug where Glovepie may launch more than once. Also
prevents some windows from being restored/maxed such as
winamp and miranda. request any others you want added!
(3.21) Whoopsie! 3.21 is exactly the same as 3.20 except it doesnt eat up
50% of your processor! it maintains under 1%
(3.20) Very cool feature now. You can zoom in windows now with Quick
Zoom. Plus and minus zoom in windows mode. Volume and
mute have now been mapped to when the wiimote is angled
upwards
(3.13) Removed small flickering of lights. Have gone back to using taskkill,
but have allowed it to work in older operating systems as tskill
would sometimes not work. Tab in firefox mode now does not
require an angle, and back tab is still angle left and wiimote two.
Uncommented "angle up+right folders"
(3.11) Default type time is now 500 ms as 750 was too long. tskill is now
used so as to be compatible with xp home and earlier
(3.10) Now tic-WiiPC runs started without having to use directinput from
keyboard, has a new context menu in task tray (Exit will close
everything involving tic-WiiPC including glovepie and bluesoleil, and
config can now be changed on the fly as well, while tic-WiiPC is
running. While tic-WiiPC is running, glovepie will restart itself if the
user tries to close it (You must close it from the system tray)
(3.05) Changed read only files to all permissions and changed config
default time to properly say 30 minutes as default
(3.04) Me being a noob again, released it with default of 300 kill time and
with hidepie removed :/
(3.03) No longer need to set glovepie as default program to open .pie files.
Even if .pie set to open with other exe, tic-WiiPC.pie will still open
with given copy of GlovePie
(3.02) When script starts press any Wiimote button to move into Windows
mode (Mode 1) and light the appropriate LED
(3.01) Whoops! Released v3 with default kill time of less than a minute!
Default is back to 30 mins!
(3.00) The biggest release ever! Completely updated helpfile. No more
configurations now (runs as is) and has a configuration utility to edit
the script with a GUI. Connect the wiimote to the PC without having
to touch your PC.
(2.62 beta) Added the option to move backwards through modes.
Go through modes normally by doubleclicking wiimote home, but
angle left and doubleclick wiimote home to go back through modes
(2.61 beta) Fixed left click in windows mode.
Made tilting left/right and pressing two now go back or forwards
through folders. Added tab and back tab when tilting left/right and
pressing two in text mode.
(2.60 beta) The main big thing here is the addition of a text mode.
Changing mode has now been moved to doubleclicking Wiimote
home. LEDs are permanently on now. By default you have 3/4 of a
second to enter each letter before it
will move to the next. This value can be changed.
(2.41) Updated help file
(2.40) Added the ability to have the script turn off and shutdown glovepie
and bluesoleil for a specified duration of time if there is no user
interaction (default in script is 30 minutes = 72000 secs)
(2.31) Bug fixes. Some keys would stay pressed. Tested and working.
Angles tweaked again
(2.30 beta) Some cool additions here! Unfortunately I have not had time to
update the documentation. When in "windows mode", just like old
wiiPC scripts you can point the wiimote at the ceiling and the d-pad
will run specific programs (now left will run firefox).
(2.23) Ok a some small additions. Carl Kenner's pure note has been added
as default for finding wiimote. Fixed a problem in Hotkeyz that had
restore set as wrong hotkey. Tweaked mouse sensitivity and
tweaked angles for holding wiimote.
(2.22) Fixed Bluesoleil problem where it will take a while to connect to
wiimote. Provided exe will restart glovepie and bluesoleil and
connect to the wiimote, then run it and minimize the script to the
tray (as long as a minimize to tray app is installed - documentation)
(2.21) Fixed the automatically connect to wiimote exe again!
Didn't work properly on slower computers
(2.20) Allow easy changing of sensitivity of mouse
(2.10) Allow global mute as previously it was only winamp
I suggest using media player classic as it works well with full screening with wiimote etc.

| No i purposefully didn't use IR for the mouse as it is still clumsy now. I have rewritten the accelerometer mouse to make it very accurate, as IR is very hard to accurately control. IR could be easily implemented, but check it out and read the help file and I hope you like it |

| If anyone knows of a freeware hotkey manager better than the one I'm using for my script (Hotkeyz), the only problem with this being it can't toggle between a window being maximized or restored, they both must be set as different keys then please let me know. If you have any knowledge of how to find what data is sent to explorer to do these tasks that would also be appreciated |

The login and password to the page are given in the link:
The username is wiili and the password is wiipc
The ftp address is tic84.no-ip.org. Just use the link at the top. I'll put the ftp back on now and try to keep it on as long as possible, but I'm still moving 2TB of information round and sorting it out and it's taking longer than expected
Please leave comments on your findings with it! |
