Hi !

My Wiimote is now working on my Genesi Pegasos PowerPC computer !

For that I'm using Linux Gentoo, a Belkin/Sitecom CN-520 bluetooth USB device and the CWiid Wiimote Linux driver (which compiled fine on my Pegasos).
Congratulation to the CWiid team, you did a great job !

I was able to use it with the game "Neverball" and it works fine ! I can also control the mouse.
Plugged devices such as the "nuntchunk" and the "classic controler" are recognized but it seems that the buttons control are not fully implemented in the driver ? Is this feature coming soon ?

So I'm now going to try this under Linux Gentoo on my Genesi Efika small & silent PowerPC...

Excellent! The team and I thank you. I'm quite surprised, actually, as CWiid has never been compiled for PowerPC before, to my knowledge. Definitely not by me. Did you have to modify the source code, and if so, would you be willing to share the patch?

The nunchuk and classic controller are fully implemented - you may have found a bug, or a PowerPC compatibility issue. Can you describe your experience in more detail?

You didn't mention whether you used the ebuilds or compiled the package manually, but I've put together an ebuild at http://abstrakraft.org/cwiid/wiki/Gentoo . You will have to make some modifications, as powerpc isn't even included in the keywords, but it's a starting point.

I've built the 0.5.02 sources under Gentoo.
I did not have to make any patches. Your code seems perfect Smile

I've used the wmgui. The nunchuk & classic controller are recognized when they are plugged but pushing the buttons does nothing (it's all grayed in the UI). When I tried, I plugged it after wiimote been sync... I will try again by pluging it before sync and tell you in that thread...

As said before, I've compiled it manually (On my Pegasos I use a quite old 2.6.15 kernel and was too lazy to upgrade it to a newer one as I've tuned it a lot)... On the Efika (G3 CPU), it's a 2.6.19 kernel...

Did you press ctrl-E to enable extension data?
