I was pretty sure that sound can be made to come out of the Wiimote. If not, then what is the sound in Carl's Laser Skirmish Script coming from? The PC? | We can only make simple beeps come out of the Wiimote. We cannot send an actual soundclip to it. So having a gunshot, explosion, or ricochet is out of the question right now. |

wel, if you send a low frequency soudn to it (and usignt he techinique that makes a crappy quilaity that will add noise and crackling to it), you can get a descent low quality explosion sound |

I made a GlovePIE Skirmish game that you can play away from the computer.
You need:
* Two wireless sensor bars (or TV remotes or candles or whatever generates infra-red). Each person must wear one on their body somewhere so it won't fall off or break if they run around. |
I wonder if anyone will be brave (dumb?) enough to run around with candles atached to their bodies
 |
That'd be classic. I can see the headlines...
"Man suffers third degree burns across his chest and back from playing laser tag. Apparently he thought that using the infra red rays put off by the candle was a good idea."
The candle would probably just go out when you tried to run though. _________________ -deceased-

Seams like we have an idea about how to make a low quallity explosion sound.
Now all we need is to figure out a way to be able to play more than 2 persons at the time. |

how fast does the wiimote ir camera can read a blinking led? the codign of which player is which can be made with blinking leds I believe)
another idea would be having players encoded with 1 to 4 leds on thier chest (not sure if an specific pattern woudl be required) and then have glove pie count how many dots it sees near the middle of the image |

| More players is easy... just freeze everyone when one person gets shot. We know who the shooter is, we just don't know the victim. So we could easily allow multiple players and keep track of all their scores, but we would need to freeze everyone when anyone got shot. |
