|
|
I have a Trendnet TBW-105UB adapter and a Vista notebook. I downloaded the newest Broadcom driver, based on comments on this forum, and was able to get the wiimote to connect to my PC. However I can't seem to get any input from the controller in either GlovePIE or WiinRemote. However, the weird thing is, I can send output to the wiimote using GlovePIE. So for example if I write a small script with say..
| Code: |
wiimote.Led1 = 1
wiimote.Rumble = 1
|
The wiimotes first LED will light up and it will rumble. However when I write a script like so...
| Code: |
Key.A = wiimote.Home
|
Nothing happens when I press the Home key. I've also tried downloadable scripts like WiiMouse Accel and they don't seem to get an input from my wiimote either.
Also when I check the wiimote out in the joystick section of Vista it has no buttons. Not sure if that matters or not.
Any advice on getting this working? My main objective here is to play Frets of fire using my GHIII guitar.

OK just tried it on my desktop PC which is XP Pro and it does not work either. I installed the latest driver from Broadcom on this machine as well, which was 5.1.0.4200 as opposed to the 6.0.1.5500 version used for Vista, but once again same problem. I can send commands but not receive them. Weird thing is that when I look at the status the "received" byte count goes up when I press a button, so the PC is getting something. It's just like GlovePIE and WiinRemote can't understand it.

I have the exact same problem. I can get the LEDs and the rumble to do whatever I want. However, I get no input from the wiimote.
I'm using: Vista HP laptop, Kensington USB Bluetooth, GlovePIE, Microsoft Stack. _________________ "No, but I want a regular banana later, so yea" - Mitch RIP |

Well I found a solution. Although I wouldn't really call it a solution. I tried one of my other wiimotes and it worked perfectly. I guess that means I did the whole set up right, just got taken down by the man.
Try another wiimote Dan. _________________ "No, but I want a regular banana later, so yea" - Mitch RIP |
