I just thought of a basic idea of a media center for Wii. It would be powered by MPlayer, which is powered by FFmpeg, which supports a load of formats. It would use special Wiimote features, such as flicking the Wiimote to move forward/backward through a video, and many others.
I am still in the process of ideas, suggest some if you want! |

That's a pretty cool idea. You should go to this thread and post it there where it might get more exposure. _________________ Evil Avatar |

No, that's the correct forum I also had this idea, the main use for that fork is to do a very, very light system that could load up entirely in the Wii RAM, so you can use medias on CD or DVD.
The best thing for basing us is GeeXbox, which contains all that we need ; just have to recompile it and include the Wiimote driver. _________________ Sorry for bad english...

Oh? My bad! I wasn't aware of that.
Just ignore that last post then. _________________ Evil Avatar |

*yay reviving year old threads*
You know what would be awsome... If you included the new version of GeeXbox (I think it's still in beta), but it includes Freevo, so that would be AWESOME if your Wii was a DVR/Home Media System/Web Browser/Game System, and maybe throw in some X10 automation somewhere along the way. Now THAT is my dream system, everything controlled with one box (except I have a cable box...... then we'd need IR emitters ) BUT THAT WOULD BE SOOOOOO FREAKIN SWEET |
