This sentence has been biting at my brain for the past day, so I have to just ask: Where/what is this Blender for Wii? Confused

I checked the site myself and I didn't see anything the relates to the Wii, unless:

Is another way of saying that a version of Blender can be developed and used with the Wii? All of what you quoted from the site's "features" page doesn't even synch up with your header, making it terribly misleading.

I believe they're saying port Blender and the Blender game engine to the Wii to make homebrew 2d/3d games. I don't think Imnotme is saying it is done as of now, but would be a cool project to do. Since this is the portion of the forum to discuss such things.

Therein lies the problem...it doesn't say anywhere in the link that was provided. Imnotme didn't bother to provide an explanation him/herself on where Wii ties into this in his/her post.

That's what keeps throwing me off. Confused

But Blender does work for Linux on the PPC which is the same processor arch that the NGC and Wii use. So I don't get how you're confused I guess.

I think what he wanted to point out was, that Blender and its game engine would be perfect for devoloping Homebrew Games for Wii (Or games for the PC using the Wiimote) as it is Open Source and Free.

What I would like to add is, that it would be really Awesome if someone would try and make it possible to control Blender Itself with the Wiimote, rotate objects, move them in 3d space, stuff like that Smile

Wouldn't the Blender game engine be a little too taxing on the Wii? On top of having to run Blender, you have WiiLi(to be just as general, Linux, Python and some rudimentary xWindow system). Can you fit that in what little the Wii offers power-wise?
