| Does anyone know what voltage the sensor bar uses? I was thinking, if we're damn lucky the sensor bar might just take 5 volts, meaning we can splice it to a USB male plug and stick it right into our computers. Since all it really is is a few LEDs, this sounds plausible. |

| I don't think anyone has taking a volt meter to the female plug yet. I would by mine is shot after my last project. |

According to the first post of "Building a "sensor" bar" 12.16V which I think someone mentioned Serial and Parallel ports output. _________________ My "sensor" bar. |

Yeah, 12.16 is what I got, so roughly around 12v but I also spliced it and tried a 2 cell lipo battery which is approx. 8.4 volts.. With the lipo it wasnt much dimmer, but I didnt get a range check, nor do I know what kind of current it draws..
I'll make an adaptor today and try USB as well as determine current draw.. |
