why did you release this the same day as dr-sous when your miles behind him with your program!?!?!? I mean you shouldve at least waited untill you had a program that was somewhere close to his. But your light years behind him in so many ways.

1. you cant run psx games
2. No internet explorer
3. it has to be in a certain directory in the computer. No free movement.
4. it just stinks compared to Dr-sous's

if i was to rate them out of 10 id give you a 2 and him a 8 all that he needs to fix are some minor bugs and spelling........ who cares about spelling!!

are you an english major or a gamer!?

You just cant find anyhting to say wrong about his program so you go for the stupidest things like spelling..

Your just a jellous loser.

I have some news for you dude!

-First of all, this is NOT a freaking competition, and if you think it is, you are in a mistaken community.
-Second, insulting is absolutely not the way to get somewhere, specially when it's your first post, and when you are talking to someone with much more obvious expertise in this than you, at least someone who has been more in touch with the community and has actually given something other than insults.
-Third, BigJohn in fact was the first one to come up with the idea of a Wii OS look-alike, all other come just from the same original idea. Don't believe me? Check the threads.
-Fourth, kind of reminds me of the guy who told Carl Kenner to leave GlovePIE programming to the 'pros'.
-Fifth, maybe, just maybe, you are the jealous loser. (notice please, spelling IS important, and it's spelled j-e-a-l-o-u-s)

Cheers, and keep up the good work everybody.

And just for the record, I haven't actually downloaded any of your programs for I don't even have bluetooth, but I have been following the whole project since late nov, 2006.

ok, first of all: the filepaths are not hardcoded, you have to run the configurator first people! lol Rolling Eyes run the config tool first!! then edit the boxes that are used as examples. read the guide, and read the readme. PLEASE.

miles behind eh? lmao. actually you CAN run psx games, you just have to know how to set it up, first of all. secondly, his graphics are my graphics. thirdly, i am the basis/creator of the entire idea of a WII GUI for PC. (hence i am the first person to make one)
mine can support editing of 44 channels, more game types, sounds, wii menu music, IR script support....
you make me laugh. im not even gonna bother continuing.
wii os does not have to be in any certain directory, you just didnt run the config tool first. i set the example images to C:\Wii OS\Snap\kirby_menu.gif, because...its an example lol. you have to run the config tool first, and point the menu_snap and game_snap to wherever the pics are (wherever you put Wii OS). if you want to launch a website....set the path value in the Wii OS Config Tool, to the internet explorer executable. then put Run EXE as 0 (which only runs the application/game in the path box). its funny because, everything you're coming back at me with, isn't true. you just...dont know how to run the config tool, or set wii os up. please read the guide, and read the readme.

you could use some spelling fixes yourself.

and luis_villase. thanks Smile this isnt a competition between me and anyone. but i believe that now since i have a customizable version out, everyone should chill out with making clones.
and dont worry, noobs will be noobs. Rolling Eyes

but please people. do 3 things for me after you download this.

1 - read the guide.txt
2 - read the readme.txt
3 - run the configurator tool, and you will see, that there are a few example boxes. 3, and 5 i know are examples. but the menu_snap and game_snap of the examples are set to "C:\Wii OS\Snap\". change them to wherever you put Wii OS on your computer. and then voila, you will have a working kirby/whatever game channel. if you read the guide, it should make it easier to understand how things work. it explains the config tool.

if you have any questions, just ask. Smile

Is this still being improved?
I hope so, this is the best yet, you just have to have a small amount of basic file structure knowledge! Thanks for such a great program. Lookin' forward to any and all updates.

basic file structure knowledge? if ur referring to the program not being able to run right when u download it because it says "runtime error: file not found" then its because you dont have wii os in C:\Wii OS. BUT! to get AROUND this, you launch the configurator tool right when you download it, and change the paths of the menu and game snaps of the first few boxes (kirby, zelda - i think they are box 3 and 5 or somethin)...once all the examples are changed you can run the program anywhere you want. i only included examples so you could get a jist of how to set it up.

oh, haha. well...he said 4 things.

Quote:
1. you cant run psx games
2. No internet explorer
3. it has to be in a certain directory in the computer. No free movement.
4. it just stinks compared to Dr-sous's

1. you can. but you just have to set it up correctly and know how to use the epsxe command lines (but i do want to add a custom color set up for psx games)

2. you can run internet explorer just fine, and use the type "PC". for the path and stuff, it'd just be SOMETHING like "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe" www.google.com (or whatever website you want it to go to).

3. explained in last post. you can either make the examples "blank boxes", or change the game snap and menu snap of each example box. problem solved.

4. this isnt even a logical reason lol.

the wiilover person, was just an angry noob who didnt know what he was talking about, considering he thinks dr. sous's is "lightyears" ahead of my program, when...his is based off my graphics, plus i was the first to come out with a wii themed frontend/gui Rolling Eyes (no offense to dr.sous)
