| Has anyone sniffed the Wii's traffic as it updates its firmware? I assume that the connection is SSL encrypted. If not, I'll do it myself next time an update is released, unless someone knows how to revert back to an older firmware version. In the event that custom firmware becomes a reality, we could have a method ready to force the wii to load the new firmware via a local machine which the wii would be redirected to using DNS. |

there is a way to reset the firmware, but it requires you to reformat the wii memory (and that deletes all data and downloaded channels)
that is an interesting idea though, maby it could be accomplished in a similar way to making your own ds download station.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5F7fVwr--Y&feature=related |
