I would the wiili to have the ability to be controlled from... a remote (by programing ir codes into wii, if possible), a psp (by using ir or wifi), a nintendo ds (by downloading "WII CONTROL" software from ds download play, if the software can even be created), a palm pilot (by using bluetooth, ir,or wifi) , a xbox 360, a ps3, a computer, or another wii! Smile

At the moment, that sounds like something that hackers would work on. I'd say wait and see what the mods have to say about it.

Hmmm... I think that someone wrote drivers for one very specific wifi adapter chip to put software on the DS, but the code needs to be signed. So if someone wrote a driver to do this with whatever wifi chips are on the wii, and we could sign code (or if you flashed your DS) loading DS remote software shouldn't be too difficult? maybe?

I was actually thinking about how cool it would be to be able to control the Wii using a DS. I think it could work.

Think, since the Wiicade flash games can be played with a Wiimote OR a mouse, when it is discovered how to replace your PC mouse with your Wiimote, it seems like you could then replace the Wiimote with the DS. Of course, you might need a GUI running on the DS, but it all seems possible.

Imagine using your Wii to control a smart home setup, since most smart homes are run in Linux, and your DS as your universal smart home universal remote.
