| Well Nintendo has stated over and over how they want anyone to pick it up and play, so I would be surprised if they made it difficult to run certain things like cds. I could have swore I read somewhere you could play music off a cd or maybe it said you couldn't... |

I think with their history, you can say that Nintendo is worried about piracy. That is why they went with cartridges for the 64 and a propriety disc format with the cube. I think with them using what appears to be standard DVD with the Wii will mean some extra security measures that means they can only play Wii software. It might be crackable, but will probably take more time than it takes for the Wii to be launched in Australia. |
