|
|
Hey all, GlovePIE newbie here.
What I'm trying to do is have a setup, where I can plug in an extra Keyboard to my PC and have it output MIDI [I'm trying to control VirtualDJ with it].
I already know how to seperate the input from either keyboards, but the brick wall I'm hitting is how to get the keyboard to output MIDI properly.
I can put "midi.BassDrum1 = Keyboard2.Q", and it'll output the sound properly.
I have to switch the "midi.DeviceOut" to 2 to get VirtualDJ to pick it up [it has a MIDI Learn feature].
So, now I try "midi.Note1 = Keyboard2.Q", as it should pick it up when in "MIDI Learn".
The problem is that it doesn't pick it up as Note1 all the time. 90% of the time it says that it's "CTRL 64 (x)" (with a random number where the X is), and the other 10% of the time it'll actually display "NOTE 1".
I'm just trying to figure out how it can output as multiple things OTHER than Note1.
Is it an impossibility? Thanks for any help. |

| sorry i read your post a few days ago but haven't responded to it because i haven't had time to sit down use the script and plug 2 keyboards in my pc to try and troubleshoot it for you. (newborn twins and i drive tow truck on call 5 days and 5 nights a week) i'm hoping someone else who knows a little more about it can give you a hand. COUGH***Carl***** lol j/k but if i can get the time i will try to see if i can come up with anything. |

| you could use the swallow() function, but that would affect both keyboards. |
