ok thanks im going to update to 1.4 today/tommorow.. im on 1.1 atm...
i will also try that tilt sensing code in the next few days, thanks in advance for your efforts...
BUT before i go ahead and do that i have 1 thing to ask (just in case you feel like adding it)
one of the few probles im having is when using the motion sensing "flicks" esspecially, in fact almost souley on the wiimote it ruins the aiming... sooooo is there any way you could put something into the script so that when you do any wiimote motion sensing>key command "flicks" the IR pointer is disabled for about 100ms or so? that way the aiming cursor should pause , so you dont end up looking at the floor/sky etc etc....
ill check back in a day or 2/3 etc and see what you say... np if not tho its just a tweak that should be "default" imo... but obviously everyone is different etc
thanks again!!! |

bump, any chance of adding the motion sensing "pauses" to the script.. if not no probs just asking
also wanted to say thanks again, i wouldnt say its pc/wii fps quality yet but there a lot of potential in these scripts
for me the big problem is that the wiimote pointing is either to direct and picks up hand shake to much, or i get issues with the corners of the screen going weird etc...
but im testing in warsow (quake 3 engine) which is about as fast/furious as fps games get, so maybe in something a bit slower and more basic like COD4, BF2 or gears of war it might work better....
either way the main improvements that need to happen with regard to using a wiimote/nunchuck on a pc imo are:
1 a user friendly GUI for end users, with general keyboard mapping and multiple wiipointer/motion sensing options, like bounding box size, calibration, pausing the cursor for certain motion sensing or button presses etc etc....
2 more "smoothed" wii pointer scripts, the ones in the script are great (for glovepie) but there was one direct mouse-like script that did a great job of smoothing/removing hand shake and another script that let you calibrate the edges of the IR pointers control area, which helped a lot aswell, both these features would be nice
its a shame because theres a few tiny issues stopping me from being able to play all my pc games, with a wiimote/nunchuck on a tv/sofa in a similar standard to pc fps games (instead of using crappy analog controllers for fps games, which i was fed up with by ps2 anyway)
still all steps in the right direction!!
thanks again
