The twilight hack has opened many doors for the wii when it comes to homebrew and I was thinking wouldn't it be awesome to have an mmo on the wii? and what better way to do it then to port an already in progress port of a mmo called ultima iris.

I don't know much about how this would be done or if its even possible but if it is and people are willing to do it then that would be freakin awesome! |

I think that this would really be well worth looking into.
The only problem that I could see would to be getting a more robust version of Linux on the Wii. You know, One that supports repositories and stuff like that. But the way that the Linux project is progressing, I really don't see why this couldn't be pulled off just as quickly.
But, Its gonna take a lot of work from a quite a few good sources.
Honestly wish that I didn't sell my version of TP whenever I did, because I would love to mess around with this project. |

I'm super interested, but the only problem is that I don't have an SD card, and from what I have read (Could be completely wrong) while it does load off the SD card directly, you have to use USB Gecko or whatever in order to initiate the code.
Again, I could be wrong, but thats what I got from most of the posts.
I really do think that this game is definitely "do-able" but there has to be a lot of work done.
One day ....one day... |
