Is it really a good idea to make own forums for every language?
What about different sections here in the board - i.e. for spanish, german, frensh and so on?

I agree, whats the point in having all these sites when we can just have a forum for each? And is there even one german, french or whatever person on this site yet? At most there is going to be a couple of people for each language!

I don't think it's a good idea to alienate the community from itself, as it were. Having different language boards only serves to introduce differences between the boards, and create useless, underutilised threads and forums. My general philosophy is that there should be as few forums as possible.

Having different language websites is easy enough, but if you don't know English, when it comes to international community, well... You're stuck.

I still think it makes sense to have different language forums. Still we are all working on the same project but if every country can help out with different stuff i think we will make faster progress on the whole WiiLi thing. For example we here in Germany are already working on the project quite hard. Ignorant and me got the page up today and so far i have 2 programmers and an engineer involved an we try to get wii development kits as soon as possible. So what do u think about the idea ?

Cheers

Hell

Maybe I can help out with webspace for some people. I've just registered the domain wiili.net. I can make redirectors for all languages and give some space for the wikis. (i.e. fr.wiili.net / it.wiili.net / nl.wiili.net and so on...). Just send me a message if you are interested.

Makes sense. Will your host be capable of hosting all the wiki translation at wiili.net?

Also, link to our forums for now. After the initial release of WiiLi, every translation should create it's own forum.

This shouldn't be the problem. If traffic and load get too high I can upgrade the server.
So, whos interested in hosting his translated WiiLi wiki just send me a message. I'll set up a MediaWiki for you then with the **.wiili.net domain.

Best Regards

I also have a bunch of bandwidth to chuck around. So if you ever need help mirroring files, I'm here. That said, you now have WiiLi.de and WiiLi.net helping, too, so it's a little useless.
