| I have a HP nx6310 laptop, with a Celeron M processor, 1 GB RAM. Using Widcomm 5.1.0.4200 driver with a D-Link DBT-122. I have also tried 5.1.0.1100. |

I'm not sure if that's a supported adapter or not, but I have some things you can try.
1. Remove all other stacks and reinstall WIDCOMM.
2. Try using the trial version of Avetana Bluetooth and see if that works.
3. If you have another bluetooth adapter, try that.
Keep me up to date on your progress! _________________ Cha0s |

I have tried with the Avetana trial, but got the same type of message: Bluetooth failed to initialize. There is probably a problem with your local Bluetooth stack or API. No supported stack installed or no dongle available"
The strange thing is that when I began using WiiRemoteJ, it worked a couple of times. Then suddenly the situation changed, without me having changed anything. |

| Cha0s wrote: | Hrmm... Well, I'm not sure that that's quite within the scope of the library, but I definitely want to make it possible for other people to do this. I've added a dummy constructor for WiiRemote that creates a remote that's not actually connected to anything. You could use this to create events (note: you would have to create an EventGenerator class to actually generate the events).
I'll get this release out next Sunday. Please keep me up to date with how your event recording/replaying library works out. Do feel free to release it on your own. I fully support the existence of such a library, but I don't think it's strictly a part of WiiRemoteJ. |
Thanks a lot, I'll be glad to try out the new release.
That dummy constructor seems to be exactly what I needed in order to get it running. I'll inform you as soon as I get it to work.
Cheers,

Hi Cha0s!
Just a little heads-up on the recording library:
The recording part is just about done, most methods have been implemented.
Events are recorded including a timestamp so they can be played back in realtime (or almost realtime, the accuracy should be high enough though).
Playback works for some event types (e.g. IR, buttons, acceleration) but still lacks support for the more complex event types.
Playback accepts a parameter for playback speed, playback can be both sped up or slowed down.
Both recording and playback can be configured to only record/playback certain types of events, this can be done in several ways setting either system properties or setting the values manually during runtime.
Stay tuned, I expect to finish this thing this weekend...
Once I'm done, do you think we can host it in the Wiki?
Cheers,

I dunno. I haven't really tried uploading files to the Wiki. You can certainly try, though! One minor thing you should be aware of: I don't think you'll be able to play back Extension events at the moment. I'll try to fix this in a future release, but for now there's no way to set up the calibration data in a good way. _________________ Cha0s |
