|
I just my new MacBook a couple days ago and I'm really loving playing NES games with DarwiinRemote. It's much easier and faster than using BlueSoleil on Windows, plus there's no data limit.
I don't know if it's possible, but I'd like to be able to get my second Wii remote to work under OS X so I can play multiplayer games. I've tried both DarwiinRemote and Remote Buddy and I can't get either to pair with more than one Wii remote. Anyone know how to get more than one Wii remote working under OS X?
Thanks!

I managed to get two Wiimotes working in OS X at the same time. It's not the prettiest way to do it but it's fairly easy and works fine. You need to have DarwiinRemote installed to get this to work.
1. Go to your Applications folder in the Finder and Ctrl-Click on DarwiinRemote.
2. Choose Duplicate and name the new copy of DarwiinRemote whatever you want.
3. Start up just one copy of DarwiinRemote and press 1 & 2 on the Wiimote to pair with it.
4. Start up the other copy of DarwiinRemote and press 1 & 2 on the Wiimote to pair with it.
5. Now you can change the configuration in each copy of DarwiinRemote so that the controls work the way you want.
I see no practical use for more than 4 remotes but, in theory, you can use as many Wii remotes as you want (or your system can handle). Each Wiimote just needs it's own copy of DarwiinRemote running.
Edit: You can also launch both copies of DarwiinRemote at the same time, then pair the Wii remotes like normally. Each copy of DarwiinRemote will automatically "adopt" one of the remotes, but not the other. You may get some errors in DarwiinRemote's log, but everything still works fine. |

| Bluetooth supports 7 devices at a time so you have a maximum. There is no point to more then 4 though. |
