| I noticed that the Homebrew channel seems to work fine with every single Wii menu, even copying it to an sd card. Do we even need to run the twilight exploit and run the installer? Or can we just pop it on an SD card and copy it over? I'm going to try this on my friend's Wii as he hasn't installed the hack yet. But if someone tests or has tested this already, please give me the answer. |

AFAIK you can't, because every channel has to be installed in the console. The actual process when you load the TP hack is that the channel gets installed in your Wii, it's not only a copy-paste process.
If you have the elf file in your sd card, your Wii won't do anything with it. If you install it in one Wii and try copy it to another, then it will be encrypted like every other channel, therefore it will be unusable by other console. _________________ Not all mexicans enjoy tamales and piƱatas, and tacos aren't really made that way!

Ahh, I didn't know the channels were encrypted. Well, good thing I will have a chance to tell my friend to not try it. I have TP anyway, he's just not very up-to-date on homebrew and such and is reluctant to use the Twilight Hack, as he is determined it will screw his Wii to hell. God, I live in a state full of technophobes.
Thanks. |
