MOD Name: Only Active Members Can Post URLs
MOD Name: Spam Words
MOD Name: disable spambots

Please let me know if you would like to see other mods before we migrate to a better forum (with the new dedicated server).

Some sort of "report abuse" link beside the member's post would be nice, so if they were spamming/linking to offensive sites, we could hit the link and alert the admins to it.

And as much as I hate to ruin your day even further:

Thanks for the mods tuxido, and for the links WiiLinovice. But even the mods seems to not work at best, I've to delete quite 4 or 5 topics a day. We need to be transfered fastly into SMF against bots and getting the Report button for "manual" spammers (or at least get a phpBB mod for that).

Not a problem, Deadpixel. This is a fledgling site after all, so it'll take time before we can all get a fix on it.

Another thing I could think of to add alongside my first post is some sort of statistic/record for members who get reported. Like a certain number of marks before you're banned or suspended or something. That way, if the admins want to keep tabs on people they suspect are troublesome, just look up their profile, and voila!

Now that I think about it, we could have some sort of an icon by our user names when we post that lets us all know when one another is currently online or offline.

Especially if we get newbies who turn out to be hit 'n' run types (say something nasty or derogative and run off into the night.)
