Hi,

Would I happen to have anything in my house that is already infrared that I can use as a sensor because I spent $40 on a wiimote today and I don't feel like spending $20 more on a sensorbar. The wiimote was very easy to find. Buy a copy of Wii Play for $50. Take out Remote and sell game back to gamestop for $10. Smart?

two IR remotes (most TV, VCR, DVD etc. remotes). any button must be pressed. will blink and reduce battery life.
two candles. must be lit. will be hot, burn down and probably leave wax on the surface.
IR LEDs. cheap to buy, but you will still have to assemble the bar.

Heh. Strangely enough, I had 2 iRobot Virtual Wall Units laying around, which sends out an infared beam to tell the roomba not to go there. I used those at first.

But i reccomend using candles. You only have to use 1 candle if you are going to use wiinremote or a script that can handle 1 ir dot, otherwise you need 2.
