I did some searching, and everyone else seems to have trouble reconnecting wiimotes in specific cases, like if it's the first of a pair, or if it's violently disconnected. My problem is just when the wiimote is disconnected with WiiRemote.disconnect(). If I try to reconnect it, I get the SEVERE: error discovering device. I could post code, but it's all very uninspired code, not much more than WiiRemoteJ.findRemotes( this , 1 ). It's Mac OS X running bluecove.
Thanks,
Nick

hi NickGeorge
if your Mac is PPC,, the followings (written in the readme.txt of WiiremoteJ) may help you.
| Quote: | Note for Mac OS X PowerPC (PPC) users: you will have to delete the Wii Remote from your previous devices list in System Preferences->Bluetooth->Devices after each connection (every time you connect a given Wii Remote). Even then, the outgoing connection will still fail every other time. There is some sort of bug relating to HCI devices and Apple's library. Luckily, it was fixed for the Intel Macs.
