Ok, my first question is what archatecture is the Wii?

Next question is should I use the build enviornment from gc-linux to port game/apps to thw Wii or will it use it's own?

If possible, yeah I know I wasn't the first ones, but could I have a beta when available to test some ports? I know it is rude but is it rude to say that I would use it for compilation and development rather then "OOOHHHH LOOK LINUX!!" Wink

Theoreticly, wouldn't it be very easy to port apps from gc-linux to wiili?

More when I think of them Smile

Can someone PLEASE answer these? Seeing as how the only conversations I have on IRC is about Zelda Very Happy

Your questions are relavent but a little premature. If gc-linux is used as the skeleton for the wili the build environment used for gc-linux would be fine but might need some slight modification to work with the wii hardware. It would be very easy in this casse to port over to the wii. This all assumes that the GC-Linux project be used as the basis for WiiLi, if created from scratch it would need it's own build environment but I believe even in this case it would still be based off the GC-Linux build environment.

I have been afraid of this project becomming like the IRC channel. Filled with people wanting the WiiLi and no-one contributing development knowledge/or any real "conent" for this project other than graphics and feature requests.

The Wiki is picking up a lot of technical information quite steadily. Just check out the Wiimote article.

Well...I'm gunna try to make some things for the Wii?

How are my questions premature? I'm assuming some work has been done to allow compilation to be tested, and even if not, why call it premature if I want to develop? Confused

So, I will try to compile with the GC-linux toolchain and then just hope it works later.
