Now that Wii Homebrew is possible, do we still need a modchip to use the Team Symbiote DVD Player? If so, how?

Unfortunately, I think so. Until they release the source code allowing us to port it over, or they port it themselves, or we get some sort of homebrew drivechip alternative, (or someone else makes a DVD player for wii) we'll just have to wait. I know, I'm anxious for a Wii Media Center too. Correct me if I'm wrong.
