Nice squeakypants! Do you have any links or extra information on the SDK, I don't have $2000 but perhaps we can put it together with donations?

Don't they have to release the source code, so sayeth the GPL, if they use a linux-based kernel? Perhaps, if we ask, Nintendo may even *hand* us some source code or linux drivers or APIs or hardware interface suggestions.

I heard that Nintendo had to give us somthing about the OS. (My memory isn't good!)

The (geek) public will know within 10 days if it really is running linux. I'll open mine up at least once to see how quickly I can void my warranty and find out if anything is upgradeable. I won't be the first person to have pictures up of the insides though since I'm on the west coast. If it determined that linux is the core OS Nintendo will be pressured to release any source they've modified just as has happened to Linksys in the past.

I think you have to contact nintendo for that.

While the SDK is cheap, you still have to be an authorized developer to get one. Application details, dev program info, etc. are on Nintendo's developer website: http://www.warioworld.com/
