|
Was having some problem with my new IOGear USB Adapter. It's detected fine by Windows, its recognized as a Nintendo HID device, etc...
I did note that the version I bought (BGU221P) is not supported according to this Wiki http://www.wiili.org/index.php/Compatible_Bluetooth_Devices. (Apparently the BlueSoleil drivers don't work with it) I guess my questions would be:
1. Is it possible it will work in the future (before I try and return it)?
2. How can I determine which version of the BT stack I'm using?
3. Any other applications I could try to determine if this adapater might work, and just not with GlovePIE?
Sorry for the vagueness of the questions; I'll be keeping an eye on the thread if anyone who responds needs further clarification.
Thanks in advance! |

I have the IOGEAR GBU221WM, and it works just fine with the supplied drivers. I suggest getting that one if you can. (walmart). It might be awhile till your's is supported so your better off just returning it. Then again, you could always try some of the other drivers that people have written.
I assume your on windows? Really can't help you there as I have no windows machines in the house anymore.
Unless of course your using the Egyptian Hack version of windows.. In which case get rid of it, and try another version. |

For anyone with this model of the adapter, I did eventually get it to work with the default drivers. I don't fully understand, but I was playing Wiitar yesterday and it was great
I did notice that not all the 'variables' for the Wiimote were working for me -- for instance, RawForce worked but not RawAcc (or something like that). Not sure if that's specific to my adapter or something else, but I had to change the Wiitar, and a few other scripts to work for me. |

| Okay, I know this may be an old post, but The GBU221P works with default drivers to connect. I'm just having the problem whereas to use the wiimote (Connected and everything.. just doesnt send a signal [Model ce 0125 wiimote too.. so that might be it]). |
