I found something funny. Best buy is taking pre-orders for Action Replay for the Wii.

Edit: I'm searching on the model number right now. So far I've found a thread over at WiiModWii where someone mentions it, but nothing more:

Unfortunately now I'm at a dead-end. The model number turns up very few results, which should be expected even if this is genuine. I couldn't find any model numbers over at codejunkies.com (AR's website) so I can't see a way to quickly compare it to older known model numbers. So I'm gonna call it quits for now.
This might actually be real, but I'm not getting my hopes up. |

Seems a mod moved this to it's own topic...
In case you didn't notice from the front page, shortly after this post, someone decided to post an article on digg (presumably the aforementioned mod).

For those who might not realize what this means, an Action Replay for the Wii will most likely open the door for homebrew code to be run, making Wii Linux possible. |

That's good and all, but many a time those shipping dates are pretty far off. Still, be nice if it is true.

There's still nothing more on the action replay site to be found concerning Wii AR other than this little blurb:

Datel announced the Action Replay (and Freeloader as well) for the Wii a few weeks ago. There has been no official information on price or release date, though, so the Best Buy date is most likely a placeholder.
