Weird one this, my Wii mote decides randomly when it wants to work.
Well not quite. If I uninstall and re-install BlueSoleil then everything works fine, and the flashing stops as soon as a GlovePIE program is running. I've noticed as well that Xp installs the 'game controller' via some HID thing.
However if I try to disconnect and reconnect the wii mote, then it starts to go wrong. The buttons all work fine (I tried them in WiinRemote too), but it can't detect motion (it thinks it's constantly moving up). glovePIE's now causing my computer to randomly beep every 5 mins too....
Plus the lights continously flash, like it's still searching.
My guess is that thw calibration messes up every time I try to reconnect the wii mote, possibly something to do with the HID thing my computer installs.
Aside from that I've no clue, any help would be massively appreciated . |

Right, I've been playng with it some more. Not found an answer yet but I'm a little closer.
Like I said the problem goes away if you un- and reinstall BlueSoleil, but of course this isn't practical. For some reason you only get once proper use of BlueSoleil before it messes up.
Now I've also noticed that not everything is broken. the buttons all work fine, it's the tilt, spin, etc side of things (anything involving the Wii mote). It just seem to think it's constantly moving.
So now I'm guessing that it's a problem with the Bluetooth software rather than GlovePIE (WiinRemote gives the same kind of response as GlovePIE so there's some kind of consistency).
I'm now trying to install Widcomm but I'm getting a 'Setup Initialization Error'.
So yeah, it's now a problem with detecting motion in the Wii mote (the buttons all work fine).
So again, any suggestions anyone? I really will appreciate it (lot's of cuddles and all that ). |

Right, got it working properly now!
I noticed that it started working again when I turned my computer back on today, and then went back to not working again.
It was mentioned in another thread, but what you need to do is go into System->(hardware tab)->Device Manager; (or run devmgmt.msc). Go down to 'Human Interface Devices', open the sub-menu, and uninstall 'Bluetooth HID Joystick'.
Now I tried this before and it didn't work. However if you uninstall these *whilst* the wii mote is properly connected to Bluesoleil (fully connected, green icon and everything); then right-click 'scan for hardware changes' on 'Human Interface Drivers' and let it re-install everything, it should then work fine.
The important thing to remember is to leave the wii mote fully connected during the uninstall and re-install.
Unfortunately I have to do this every time I re-open BlueSoleil, so I made an icon on the desktop so I can quickly jump into Device Manager.
Anyway, I'm off to play San Andreas.
