Ok I have been trying to set up my wiimote to my pc, I am having nothing but problems. I Have tried two different bluetooth adapters and 2 Different wiimotes with no success. The adapers I have tried are IOGear GBU-221 and now the Trendnet TWB-101ub. Both are on the compatible list.
I am using the newest Widcomm Stack I think. I downloaded it from
w w w . broadcom. c o m /products/ bluetooth_update . php.
bluesoleil does not work for me.
With both adapters I can get the wiimotes to connect, and in glovepie I can make them rumble, but i am unable to get any info from the wiimote, (button presses Accelerometer data and IR data). I see a lot of people are having the Same issue as me and they tried syncing the wiimote with the red sync button and new batteries. I tried that and was able to get button presses shortly in the Wiinremote program but then after pressing them for a while that stops working too.
I am running windows vista. I should have said that to start lol.
So basically, i was wondering if anyone can help, or even better, if they have their wiimotes working with vista, what bluetooth adapters are you using?
P.S. what is the difference between a bluetooth driver and a stack??
Thanks in advance

| The problem seems to be with vista. I tried it on my Crappy old laptop with XP on it and it works perfectly. Any Ideas?? |

Hey Slevin,
I don't have vista but from my experience I would run everthing as an admin if you aren't already. To be honest I have XP and I am getting very flaky results with 2 different USB dongles as well ( Jabra230s and Kensington 33348 )
The Jabra works on my laptop but not on my desktop.
Right now I am trying the old Widcomm drivers version 4.0.1.2400 to see if that helps.
Oh and according to a google search.
A bluetooth stack = bluetooth drivers and software
