Hi,

I don't have a Wii, but I just bought a WiiMote for a VR headtracking project.

I have a Jabra A320s bluetooth adapter using the latest WIDCOMM stack and my OS is Vista SP1. I've successfully paired the WiiMote with my computer. It shows up as a bluetooth device and it also shows up as a controller in the Game Controllers section of my control panel.

So far so good...

So I launch GlovePIE and write my first script. Nothing appears to work. So I download a script to see if it was just my sloppy coding skillz. Nothing, except the script I downloaded did manage to turn on one of the WiiMote's LEDs.

I do some further testing and it appears that is literally all I can do. I can turn on the LEDs, but I can't read any inputs from the WiiMote. WiinRemote also sees the WiiMote, but nothing actually works in that application either.

I've also tried an IOGear GBU221WM bluetooth device and get the same problem.

I'm up for trying a new stack if someone can recommend something to me. I remember needing a license to use BlueSoliel in the past, but I'm not 100% sure whether that's still the case.

Does anyone know if the WiiMote has to have been used with a Wii before it can be successfully used in Windows?

Thanks for any help you guys can give me. I'm desperate to get this working as the helmet and various other components are coming in the mail and I'd love to have this part sorted out before they arrive.
