I'm throwing my MSI starkey in the bin, I've had nothing but probs with this one.

My Toshiba stack (built in to my Dell laptop) works perfectly.

I need a BT dongle that will work on Glovepie, Linux, Windows 2000, XP and Vista.

Please advise I basically want one that pairs immediately and never loses connection.

Also needs to work well on

D-Link DBT-120 works great on XP (as long as you make sure that Windows points to the D-Link driver and not the XP one). I can't say about the other OS you mentioned, never tried it, probably never will.

I'm a little late to the party but do not buy the Es-388 from acortech. I bought one and its a cheap knock off. The ES-388 is already dirt cheap but these ones much cheaper. I bought a real ES-388 from a diff company and its much better at the same price. The better ES-388 will accept all stacks, the one from acortech could not because they do not have unique IDs(not registered with the FCC, illegal production), and the better es-388 also features IR support. The better es-388 also performs quicker and actually holds up to the stress of pinching. do not buy the es-388 from acortech. If someone wants I can take pictures of the fake es-388 and the real es-388 side by side but only if its wanted.
