Since phpBB sucks, and now that's the community is bigger, you should change forum... for now SMF is excellent, get it here and script to convert from phpBB to SMF is here.
Then I'll probably make a theme for it and for the wiki (the same of course).

For the wiki theme, the best is this one, and I made the WiiLi banner here. And for the forum theme, i've started working on it, just using the default SMF theme and replacing header + forum icons, maybe replacing some colours.
PS : use 1.1 RC3 instead of 1.0.9, it's stable and has more features.
edit : in fact, it'll be based on PixelSlot.

Security is first, I will give SMF a try and see how it works.
Anybody care to comment on SMF features/security and other alternatives?
What's wrong with phpBB other than the current ugly look?
What features are we missing?
What other improvements does the website need? |

mhh i think it's not a specitic feature, which is missing.
but first of all SMF is much more comfortable for the admin 
and has a really handy Administration/Moderation backend.
also there are thouse sub-forums (are they called so?!) so you always have a clean Main Page.. but can create a lot of sub and sub-sub forums for different concerns.
and you can add Mods / Hacks in SMF super easy. Just by selecting them in the Adminarea. So you spend less time with manually adding mods.. and have more time for what we are all waiting here 
But that's just my opinion of course!
You should check some of these sites, too.
