I'm not sure why America keeps coming up, but if it's because you think Carl is American you're wrong. He's Australian. That being said I haven't read the entire thread throughly as I've moved on. It's Carl's choice.

And, these threads are openly solely because people were bringing up the issues in inappropriate places. So, if they wouldn't stop, they should at least do it in the right place, as I think that's fair for all parties involved.

If he's Australian, he should note that the American Iraqi occupation is far worse, not that I give a shit. Any country that attacks another first and is defeated deserves any occupation the victim can throw at it. I know Carl has any right to put that in his license (in the United States he wouldn't, law against unauthorized boycotts) but I think it's petty and spiteful and a lot of the work on GlovePIE was done by WiiLi members who I doubt ever agreed to put their scripts and such under such a license. And making a petition is much better than just passing around a way to bypass the ban.

No. GlovePIE was completely made by Carl (correct me if I'm wrong Carl).

Other people have made scripts for it, but making it and making something FOR it is a big difference. Those people who you doubt have ever agreed weren't forced to make scripts for it. They read the user policy (and if not, then it's their own fault - It works like this: If the User Policy says "If you use this program, you agree to the following:", then it does), and agreed with it.

He can put whatever legal license on his software he wants, and he's doing just that. Good for him!

If you don't like it, don't use it.

Also, calling the guy racist is just plain retarded. Israel does not equate to both the so-called race as well as the religion. There really is no way to pin down any solid Jewsih "race", by the way. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to study some more.

Amen to that. A lot of the posts in this topic are blatant hypocrisies; people expressing irrational prejudice for someone whom they accuse of being irrationally prejudiced.

Can you guys not see the irony there?

This topic needs to be closed. It's clear that reason isn't going to prevail, good faith will not win the day, etc... so it's best to move on. Please, take your irrational anger elsewhere. Better yet, talk to the guy. And please try to remember not to be a total ass in the process; use logic, reason, and try to listen. You know, good faith. Try it sometime.
