First the disappointing part that I know everyone will be mad about: No online planned for any Virtual Console games. Crying or Very sad These games are meant to be replicas thus no online will be added.

Increased Framerate?: Again, these games are meant to be exact replicas thus games will look exactly as they did on the other consoles.

Rumble?: Nope.

Classic controller play Gamecube Games?: Nope

Ok, now that we got the negative stuff out of the way.... Time to get a bit positive! Very Happy

Gamecube controllers play Virtual Console games: YES!

Game Sizes:

Games will vary in size, but these are the average sizes of each game after downloading them.

NES: 1 MB

SNES: 5 MB

N64: 32 MB

Pretty good considering Wii has 512 MB of memory. Very nice. Very Happy

Channel Organization: Instead of creating sub channels, such as an NES channel that will then display all the NES games, each game will have its own channel. Kind of annoying if your going to have a ton of games on Wii after a period of time, but not too bad.

Not enough space? Solved: If you download more games than your Wii and SD card can handle, you can delete them to download more games. Using WiiConnect 24, Nintendo keeps records of all the games you bought, so you can delete them and re download them at any time.

Here is the US Lineup for all Virtual Console games starting from Wii's launch until the end of 2006 for the US. (Europe, Asia, and Australia have different games).

NES
Mario Bros.
The Legend of Zelda
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr.
Ice Hockey
Pinball
Soccer
Tennis
Urban Champion
Wario's Woods
Baseball
Solomon's Key

SNES
F-Zero
SimCity

Nintendo 64
Super Mario 64

Sega Genesis
Sonic the Hedgehog
Altered Beast
Golden Axe
Columns
Ecco the Dolphin
Gunstar Heroes
Space Harrier II
Toe Jam & Earl
Ristar
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine

TurboGrafx-16
Bonk's Adventure
Super Star Soldier
Victory Run
Bomberman '93
Dungeon Explorer

Having only One N64 games is kind of disappointing, but there are tons of other games that are great too such as Golden Axe, Sonic, etc.

Here is a list that ESRB has approved, these games have not been announced yet by Nintendo but chances are these will appear in early 2007, remember, Nintendo can get games approved by ESRB now and not release them until 2008, but CHANCES ARE these will be the first wave of titles in early 2007. I really like this list. Also, if these games are not the first wave, they WILL be released sometime (considering Nintendo took the time to get them rated).Enjoy.

Duck Hunt (E for Everyone)
Hogan's Alley (E for Everyone)
Kid Icarus (E for Everyone)
Kirby's Adventure (E for Everyone)
Pilot Wings (E for Everyone)
Pro Wrestling (E for Everyone)
Punch-Out (E for Everyone)
Wild Gunman (E for Everyone)
Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
Kirby's Super Star (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone)
Starfox 64 (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone)
Super Metroid (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone)
Excitebike (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Ice Climber (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Dr. Mario (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Mario Brothers (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Ice Hockey (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Soccer (NES; rated E for Everyone)

If anyone else has anymore questions just ask them in this thread.

I just want to make sure I understand this right, if I understand correctly you said no new games until 2007 but just in case I misunderstood, any chance there will be some VC games released in December?

the second list will be titles most likely appearing in 2007, the first list is the launch list for VC titles in the US that will last us into 2007 when more titles will start appearing.

Approx. 10 new games will be added total each month.

possible yet doubtful, this has been speculated before, but the games woudl take up a lot of space on the internal memory and SD cards, thus that is probably the reason they decided not to put them up, however in the future it is possible, jsut dont expect it.

dreamcast games do not use normal cds they use gd-roms. witch hold more data. so i doubt that you would be able to just put them in.

I am saying that it is possible Very Happy First of all anything with technology is possible Wink but thats not my point. They converted N64 nes, etc. games from cartridge to digital apps, and Turbographix (dont remember what its called or how thats speeled lol sry) was originally cd games... the only thing is that the files for dreamcast would be big. So if Dreamcast games are added, it will be when SD cards come cheaper in larger sizes and they find a way to convert Dreamcast games to a small size.
