Now I love the ds & lite but seriously they need improvements if they will last as a gaming device

Firmware:
Web Browser built-in its not hard for them to do this for all i care we could download it to the ds
Email added we have Wii Mail why not DS Mail
Wifi config built-in
Music Player added
Video Player added

Explanation: This stuff is all on the Wii so why not the new DS. The music and video player would be nice cause who doesn't want one. It's alot easier to lug around 1 device instead of 3 or even extra cartridges.

I have the media player but I would rather have the thing built-in cause its hard to share your games and listen to music isn't it

Hardware:
Up the ram to 32 mb
Up to processor to atleast .5 ghz
Add a 128 mb HDD and allow SD cards
Wi-Ni or whatever that new thing is called in addition to wifi
Make the touchscreen have multitouch support

Explanation: We have a really cool looking system but the graphics leave something to be desired. Also having a HDD allows them to upgrade. I'd pay the $30 for the opera browser on it if i can carry it around on the system internally. Also this new wi-x thing would be sweet. the touchscreen having multi-touch support would be nice because they could really do some sweet stuff with it

Games:
Up the cartridge storage capacity to a solid gig or 3/4
Make games allow saving to external memory

Games are all nice but we know devs like the extra space. Especially when they are comfy with atleast 4 gigs on a console they should have atleast one on a handheld Saving towards an external memory would be nice because everyone likes their saves to themselves usually. Also this could allow external loading so games could use downloadable content.

We want some ports of pc games people!!! HINT HINT BLIZZARD

The Wii has all of this and more for $250 (except the screens) and so I'd pay $200 for a handheld if it had all of this

I'd personally like to hear about a GBA "successor" somewhere down the road. Some of those ideas you've mentioned could be introduced into the next handheld. Smile

Or so we hope.

Nintendo's whole outlook on things is being different. Most people have a lot of that stuff, if not all of it in their Ipods or Cellphones or other portable gadgets.

What I do think is a good idea is to make that kind of stuff optional, kind of customize the DS. It would be good, I personally would like it, but again, not everyone wants that kind of stuff.

it would be sweet if the new DS would have a Hard Drive so you could pop in a Game Card 1ce, save the game to your DS, and play it whenever.

i like the idea of a DS with onboard storage for say freind codes, but if ninty did that it would probly be flash memory or a Solid State Drive (like flash memory but better) cuz HDDs have moving parts, and thats not good for portables. i'v got a friend whos iPod was bricked because the HDD broke.

The cartridges should be rewriteable.
So Nintendo could bring updates.
Some games are buggy like hell! *Points to SM64DS*
