It is not their strong point but you have to remember this is Nintendo's first online gaming console. You'll see improvement next time around. |
I agree. Besides, Nintendo has always led (except when Atari was king too many years ago) the game console technology. When MS and Sony are pushing for better and better graphics letting aside some other important features (an illness I believe comes from PC games) , Nintendo always comes with a twist. Now they stroke very hard by dumping the idea of adding more and more buttons to the controller, and switched to motion sensing, and even using fewer buttons.
At this point, I really can't imagine what could they hold for us, but I could almost bet that it won't be just an "upgrade" to the Wii, even if it is some sort of expansion for it, it will be completely different of what most people could think of.
For some reason they seem to live 10-15 years ahead of everyone else.
I don't want to start a flame war, I'm just saying Nintendo has surprised me each and every time to a degree no other company has, that I just stopped thinking about what would their next console be and enjoy the current one. |

Incorporating online play with traditional best sellers like Mario and Zelda will MMORPGize them to the point they are no longer unique. The only exception is SSB but that's only one franchise. Nintendo might still do well with handhelds since they emphasize single-player and local multiplayer, but Xbox live has much more potential with the console market. |
Nintendo is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ahead of Microsoft, because you have to PAY to use xbox live service, Nintendo Wi-Fi connection is FREE... |

| people still don't think nintendo has what it takes? I mean come on, before the 360, ps3, and wii were out, everyone discounted nintendo's next system in the race for next-gen. long story short, 360s are doing alright, ps3s are collecting dust on store shelves, and the nintendo wii is still sold out. if that isn't enough to convince you that they're still very much in the game, i don't know what will. |

Sales data never lies.
As for sales figures, here's a link to my website. I keep up with the sales figures, and I even have a news article now about how the PS3 has had a slight increase in sales.
