Does anyone know if the wiimote communication to a wiimote peripheral (ie nunchuck, classic controller, etc..) is just one way?

Can you send data to the wiimote and have the wiimote push that data down to the peripheral?

I believe the you can in fact send data to the peripheral by writing to some of the control registers, though I'm not 100% sure on this. But I think it could work.
