I dont know how to make one exactly like it, but you could outfit a glove with an IR led on it thats constantly on, and have another ir led that when you pinch, two metal connectors on your fingertips come together and light that led. Set glovepie to one led being a mouse, and click on detection of a second led, thats the only way I can think of doing it with glovepie, and its not too complicated.

it could work as a mouse very well as you said. first
IR = mouse
second IR = leftclick.

no need to program any softwares
