A torrent application, newsgroup application. Since the wii uses 10% of power of my pc i could leave it on at night to download stuff.

Eh, P2P apps ? It's not legal, and don't tell me it's for downloading Linux or opensource things, because most of the time FTP servers are faster than BT or newsgroup, and if not you can D/L it to your PC. I don't think it'll be good for WiiLi ; anyway, it may be downloadable after, but not in the LiveCD.
That's just my opinion, do what you want tuxido _________________ Sorry for bad english...

Running an IRC bouncer like psybnc or miau would be quite cool... or some eggdrops
And of course instant messanger with a flashing disk slot, when recieving a message _________________ Wiideos.com |

Yup P2P apps is legal. Dunno wich country you live, but here in the Netherlands its ONLY illegal (yes its confirmed!) if you upload (share/seed/etc) copyright software to other people.
Downloading with Newsgroup is as safe as buying the software on internet. WHy? because you don't upload it to other users
But hey, might be different in other countries. |

Yes, but download stills piracy, even if your law says it's not illegal. And a bunch of WiiLi users are not living in Netherlands i know P2P apps are legal, it depends only of the files. But 99% of the files are illegal...
I live in France and I know a lot about piracy, we are the people in Europe who download the most, so we have a lot of laws about it. I f*ck those rules and I download too, but that makes a cliché ("WiiLi = download without a PC"). Also, in any ways SD card are too small for big files, and little files can be D/L easier on a PC.
zapp2me > For IM there'll probably be gAIM, and probably something for IRC. I like also the idea for flash disk slot (and maybe vibration of wiimote for nudges in MSN ^^), but I don't think it's easy to do ; it's inside Wii programmation, not in Linux. Wait & see. _________________ Sorry for bad english...
